MUSHROOM SUKKA MASALA:
Ingredients:
Button Mushroom - One pack (200gms)
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
jeera - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Garlic - 6 pieces, crushed
Onion - 1 (Finely chopped)
Mangalore Chilli Masala Powder - 1/2 tsp (More for more spice)
Salt as required
tamrind paste 1/2 tsp
Ghee as required
coconut grated - 1/4 or 1/2
Method :
1. Cut each Mushroom into 4 pieces.
2. Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan. Add mustard seeds. Once it splutters add jeera & curry leaves. Fry this for a second. Add chopped onion and fry till it turns into pink in color.Then add crushed garlic and fry till it turns into light brown color.3
3. Then add cut mushroom and fry well for 4 to 5 minutes. Add coconut and tamrind paste.
4. Cover the pan with a lid. Keep it in low flame for 2 to 3mins. Stir in between so that the mushrooms do not stick to the pan.
5. Then add chillie powder and salt. Fry it well and add little water so that it gets cooked well .
6. Remove & serve hot with chapathi.
Tastes like chicken.
