MACAROONS:
Ingredients:
1 egg white
1 cup castor sugar
¼ tsp. baking powder
1 cup finely chopped cashew nuts
2 powdered cardamoms
ghee to grease the tray or cups
Method:
1.Beat egg white to a stiff froth with an egg beater. Add castor sugar little by little, cardamom powder, baking powder and the cashew nuts and mix well with a spoon until they resemble breadcrumbs.
2. If it looks watery, add a spoon of castor sugar. Place this as little lumps smaller than lime size. ( it will rise later) in the greased baking tray and bake in the oven medium temperature for 15 minutes in a preheated oven.
* It is a good idea to use paper cups while baking. Place the balls on the paper cups before baking.
